CARD STOCKS FOR DEBOSSED BUSINESS CARDS
Embossing is when the text is pressed up and out of the card, while debossing is when the text is pressed into the card. Debossed, indented printing looks stunning on thick card stocks, such as our ultra-thick recycled greyboard or heavy weight coloured stocks from 540gsm upwards. Coloured and white card stocks both suit blind debossed printing to create your premium business cards.
BLIND & SHADOW DEBOSSED PRINTING
Bespoke printing plates are pressed into the card stock to indent text into the card, called a ‘deboss’. An embossed business card is when the card is pressed upwards out of the card.
‘Blind’ or no ink printing is possible when the wording is pressed into the card without ink
To maximise the effect, opt for our ‘shadow’ style – where a light transparent grey ink enhances the texture of the indentation.
With blind printing, we recommend you stick to large text or logos so that the information is easy to read
Opt for our house shadow style in you want to include smaller text or detailed illustrations
